Salami toast with curry sauce, onion, and aged cheese

Ingredients (9)
- 2 thick slices of bread (sourdough / multigrain)
- 2 medium-sized onions, sliced into half rings
- 6 tbsp Oliehoorn Curry sauce, divided
- 3-4 slices of salami
- 50 g aged cheese
- 1 tsp oil
- Small lump of butter
- Black pepper
- Optional: pinch of little gem lettuce and halved cherry tomatoes

Heat oil + butter in a pan over low to medium heat.

Add the onion with a pinch of salt and sauté gently for 8–10 min until soft and light brown.

Reduce the heat and add 4 tbsp of curry sauce.

Mix well and let it cook gently for 2-3 minutes until the onion is shiny and lightly caramelized.

Spread one side of the bread thinly with the remaining 2 tbsp curry sauce.

Topping: salami curry-onion, cheese and close the toast.

Lightly grease the outside edges with butter or mayo.

Fry the toast in a pan over medium heat until golden brown for 3–4 minutes on each side. Tip: cover it for a nice cheese melt.
