Together we go for better

Oliehoorn is B Corp certified!

We may officially call ourselves a B Corporation since October 2024. With this we join a growing group of leading companies for which a positive impact on people, animals and the environment equals sound financial management. Arjan Dijk is proud of the result: “In the 44-year history of our family business, corporate responsibility has always been an important pillar. The award of this certificate confirms that we are on the right track and that taste, quality and sustainability go together extremely well.”

What is B Corp

The B Corp certification is awarded worldwide by B Lab, the non-profit organization behind the certification. They reward companies that meet high standards in social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The certification process is intensive: applicants must achieve a benchmark score of at least 80 (out of 200) points and provide evidence of social and environmentally friendly policies regarding energy use, waste and water management, employee compensation, diversity, and corporate transparency. Oliehoorn achieved a score of 85 points.

Every three years, B Corps must be recertified to maintain their status. Companies such as FishTales, Tony’s Chocolonely, Auping, Hak, and Triodos preceded Oliehoorn.
