What sets Oliehoorn apart?
Oliehoorn is more than just a condiments brand, as we’re a flavour house rooted in Dutch tradition and driven by curiosity, quality, and care. Since 1981, we’ve been crafting sauces that work for chefs, elevate street food favourites, classic dishes, and modern menus across the Netherlands and beyond. From our creamy, indulgent mayonnaises to bold BBQ sauces and surprising flavour innovations, we develop products that chefs trust,customers love, and operators rely on.
Founded in the Netherlands, Oliehoorn has grown from a local sauce specialist into a recognised name in foodservice. What hasn’t changed? We’re still family-owned, proudly independent, and deeply committed to doing things right, from sourcing ingredients to serving partners. Today, we produce over 23 millions of litres of sauce annually, while staying close to our values, our people, and our purpose.

At our modern production facility in Hoorn, just north of Amsterdam, we make every sauce with care, passion and pride. From blending the ingredients to filling our bottles and pails, every step is focused on great taste and consistent quality. That way, you can count on the same trusted Oliehoorn quality every time.

Our sauces are made to bring great taste to every bite. But there is more behind them than flavour alone. Oliehoorn is the first B Corp certified sauce manufacturer in the Netherlands, and we are committed to making our sauces in a way that is just as thoughtful as it is tasty.
On our sustainability page, you can read more about our goals, the steps we are taking, and how we are working to make our production process more sustainable.
For example, we aim to be completely gas-free by 2026. And since 2024, we have proudly been the first B Corp certified sauce manufacturer in the Netherlands.
Our history
We are a Dutch family business
Oliehoorn is a Dutch family business with a rich history. Since 1981, the love for craftsmanship, quality and flavour has been passed on from generation to generation.
What began with Klaas van Kalken selling cooking oils and fats has grown into a trusted name in fritessaus, curry and mayonnaise. Now, with Arjan Dijk leading the way, we continue to build on that same strong foundation.
