Sweet Chili Chipotle 900ml

  • 8–12 bao buns
  • 400 g chicken thigh fillet
  • 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
  • 100 ml chicken broth
  • 2 lime leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons Sweet Chili Chipotle sauce
  • 100 g finely chopped red cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons Brander mayonnaise
  • ¼ cucumber cut into julienne
  • Fresh coriander or spring onion
  • Black sesame seeds as a garnish
  • Fried onions as a garnish

    Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

    Heat the oil in a pan and briefly fry the chicken over high heat until golden brown.

    Add the chicken broth and the lime leaves, cover it, and let it simmer gently for 15–20 minutes until the chicken easily falls apart.

    Pull the chicken apart with two forks and mix the Sweet Chili-Chipotle sauce into the pulled chicken.

    Steam the bao buns according to the instructions on the packaging.

    Keep them warm under a clean tea towel.

    Carefully open the bao and place the red cabbage and cucumber in the bun. Add a generous spoonful of pulled chipotle chicken.

    Finish with Brander mayonnaise, coriander, spring onion, sesame, and fried onions
